Well, I was trying to get this post up before Valentine's Day, but sometimes posts just don't go up when we want them to, and it's nooooo biggie. I try not to stress about it. Although, I am up way too late currently writing this because I really want to get this post up. Okay... have I babbled enough at the beginning of this post?! Yes.

You have probably already seen my post on instagram or Facebook, but... I cut my hair. And I kind of cannot believe it. If you know me, you know that I would have never done this in a million years! I have always had long hair (except for once in like 4th grade, thanks for that by the way, mom), especially because it's naturally curly, so short hair just ain't my thing. Well, I have been thinking about doing this for a little while and Matt reaaalllly wanted me to try short hair so I figured, may as well try it out! I do like it! I really do. But, I would say it's not my favorite. I don't like not being able to put my hair all the way up while working out, it kind of drives me crazy. Also when it was long, I never really had to style it. Because I get Brazilian Blowouts, it kind of just air dried pretty perfectly (or a nice messy perfect-every-day kind of style). Well, I thought if it's short it will be just as easy if not easier! I was wrong. I can't just let it air dry and do nothing to it... it does NOT look good that way. So now, I have to style it all the time, meaning more heat to it. So, don't love that. Also, I got it colored too, and it's far too yellow near my roots for my liking.. so I will have to get it redone.
All that to say, it's not my favorite, but I'm going to love it while I have it! I'm always down for change. :)

Have any of you guys gotten an extreme hair cut or color that you loved/hated? How did you deal?

These photos were taken this past weekend when we were in Santa Barbara. Matt had to go up there for over a week for the Santa Barbara Film Festival, so since it's only a 2 hour drive, I joined him for the last few days. It was so great. We lived in Santa Barbara for a year right when moving to California from Dallas. So it was wonderful to go back for a bit. We REALLY need to get out there more often. Has anyone reading been to Santa Barbara?! How did you like it? What's your favorite thing to do there?

Sorry there are so many photos on this post! We literally went three different times this day trying to find the right light. The last ones where there is less sunshine are my FAVES, but some of the other ones turned out too good, I had to share those too. Oh well.

Onto my look... this tulle skirt, I'm obsessed. Felt like a ballerina on the beach. I was loving wearing these pinks. My style is usually a bit more edgy, but I was feeling so feminine here, and I loved it. Who else is obsessed with bodysuits?! They are so perfectttttt. Love them with skirts like this, but I think my favorite is wearing a bodysuit with a pair of classic jeans. The best.

Hope everyone had an AMAZING Valentine's Day. 1 John 4:19

Thanks so much for stopping by!

  8. I remember dying my hair the brightest shade of red about 5 years ago. I look back on those pictures and ask myself, "what were you thinking?" LOL. I actually really liked it but the color itself is just attention seeking and I do not like attention at all so it was a bit contradicting. Anyway, I love your new cut! I think shorter cuts make people look more mature and polished most of the time. xx

  10. I remember my first and only ballet recital. We wore orange tutus (like actual tutus) with white polka dots on them. My mother literally had to scrap my hair into a bun because it was so baby fine, although at least it was long. For more details Visit This Link
