Road Trip // Day Eight - Final Day

Well, here we are... at the end. This journey from Dallas, TX to Santa Barbara, CA was one of the best experiences of our lives.
We enjoyed every second of our trip. Spending so much time together was just amazing and being able to experience all the things we did and see everything we saw was just spectacular. And we cannot wait to go on another road trip sometime. This road trip was extra special because it was the beginning of a HUGE change in our lives. So, if you have been following along, I thank you so much. It was SUCH a blast documenting our move. And I am glad I got to share it with you. :) So here we go!... Day Eight of our amazing week long road trip.

We woke up at my cousin's house (PS thank you SO much to all the family who let us stay the night with you! We could not have done this the same without your generous hospitality!!) in Las Vegas. We did not have too much daylight the previous day, so we wanted to stop by the Vegas sign and take a few shots before we headed out of Nevada.
And we of course had to end the trip on a high-note with some Krispy Kreme for breakfast.
The faces of two VERY full people. :))

After breakfast, we headed out of Nevada to California! This state border was the most important to us as we were entering our new home. It was surreal (still is) to think that we were not going to be crossing that border back into Nevada out of California... We are staying! For good! Kind of crazy... so we of course took a ton of pictures in front of the California sign. :)

Then as we drove through California headed for the coast, we did not make too many stops. We were too excited! And just wanted to get to the beach!! :) We did see one thing that made us want to stop for a picture. This was the California Wigwam Motel... Seeing as we stayed in the Wigwam Motel in Arizona, we thought it would be fun to take some pictures here too. How adorable are these tepees?!

Then, at last.... we made it. The sun was going down... and it was fabulous. We took our first step onto a beach that is basically our new back yard. It was a very special moment for Matt and me.
And this was our first picture in our new place. ( Terrible I know, but it was dark, and we were TIRED. ) :)

We have now been living here for just under two months. Things are going well so far. We are LOVING the weather and good vibes here. Our house is tiny, we do not have many friends yet... but we feel like we are home. We have each other, God, and the beach. What else do we need?! :) We feel so incredibly blessed we were able to take this huge leap and change up our lives completely. We know it was meant to happen, and we truly believe great things are in our future. Prayers are always appreciated. :)
Thanks again for following along. I am working on a short video of our trip too. We had a lot of fun with our GoPro!! So that will be up soon hopefully. Love to all of you, friends. <3

  1. So fun and so exciting! I've lived in California my whole life, and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. So happy to see you're liking it so far! :)
